Our task was to design a painting studio/ workshop that could be transformed into a residential building at a later date. The work in the workshop does not tolerate any direct natural light and requires almost constant temperature and humidity. Therefore, we chose a wood construction with a green roof, whose windows are oriented exclusively towards the North. The main room had to be able to accommodate large canvases, which imposed the construction height. Inside the workshop, an earthen wall ensures a constant ambient climate.
